Petra Lackner, DVM, Diplomate ACVO, is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists in Little Rock.
Dr. Petra Lackner graduated in 1991 from the University of Minnesota. After graduation, she finished a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital. Upon completion of the internship, she worked for 2 years as an emergency doctor in Baltimore.
Dr. Lackner was awarded the IRTA Fellowship at the National Eye Institute in Bethesda, MD where she was involved with research in Diabetic Retinopathy Models.
Dr. Lackner completed her residency at the University of Zurich Tierspital and has been a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists since 1999. She has worked in hospitals in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and New York for the past 20 years and we are excited to welcome her to Arkansas.
