At Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists, our team of veterinary professionals works together in our fully-equipped facility in Little Rock to ensure that your pet’s needs are provided for at all times.
We're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We're here for you on evenings, weekends, holidays, and during regular business hours for those times when your primary care veterinarian may not be available.
To become board-certified in a veterinary specialist, a veterinarian must complete a 2-3 year residency, an original research project, publication in a scientific journal, and a multiple-day comprehensive exam. Once these requirements are met, they become a diplomate in their specialty, giving pets access to specialty care.
We think of ourselves as an extension of your pet's primary veterinary care. We provide specialty veterinary services that go above and beyond traditional veterinary medicine, and will work together with your primary care veterinarian every step of the way.
We offer diagnostic imaging services for our patients, including digital x-ray, ultrasound and Computed Tomography (CT) scan. Our in-house lab allows us to perform tests and get results quickly, so that we can diagnose your pet's symptoms and begin treatment.
We use state-of-the-art veterinary tools to provide complete care and our modern facility is designed to provide for your pet’s specialty and emergency care needs. Our in-house pharmacy and diagnostic laboratory helps provide accurate diagnosis and treatment for your pet.
